Ok so a few days ago I received my order from Newegg. Inside the box was a Scythe Big Shuriken cpu cooler, and a OCZ Fatal1ty 550w modular PSU. I had been really looking forward to getting the cooler as I've been trying to do some some good stable overclocking. Prior to getting the cooler the best numbers I was able to get were 2.9ghz at around 38c at idle and 58c-60c at full-load from a starting point of 2.6ghz. After installing the Big Shuriken I was able to get a stable 3.1ghz at around 34c at idle and 52c at full-load, which is absolutely great for me considering the small size of the cooler. As for the power supply the best part about it is that I don't have to have a bird's nest of unused cables hanging all over the inside of my case, which is really small to start with. I'm currently only using 2 cables aside from motherboard power connectors. I can't honestly tell you what's coming up next for the rig, but it probably won't be anything too big so I'll keep you updated and until my next post which should be tomorrow at the NY International Auto Show L8TR!
Oh yeah! here are some pics of the cooler and a video of the unboxing of the psu. Enjoy.
